A very strong and thriving evangelical Anglican church in a strategic situation next door to Broadcasting House. The Rev John Stott was the Rector for many years and is still on the staff

  • St. Marks Apartment, Niru (guest) wrote 19 years ago:
Victorian style building with serviced apartments. Fully equipped kitchen & rooms. House keeping once every week (mostly on Mondays). Provides full security round the clock. Well connected to rest of London & UK via King's Cross stn. Close to Angel Stn, which has one of the deepest escalators in the tube system. St. Marks is surrounded mostly by residential blocks. Supposedly electric night life around this area. Jo & Nj spent a memorable week here.

The proper name for this grassy bank is Aorangi Park (Maori for 'Cloud in the sky'), which was once home to the London New Zealand Rugby Club.
