Beloved TommyGol (Guest) I think that just THINKING about _"doing_like_they_did"_ is absolutely INAPPROPRIATE, which is why I recently downgraded the "1=like" by my "1=dislike". Best, w.

The gardens are in Oxford Court, which is a tiny alley running north off Cannon St, more or less opposite the Eastern end of Cannon Street Station; O2 have a building on the East side of Oxfd Court. If you open http://maps.google.co.uk/ and enter the magic numbers "51.511847, -0.089538" (without the quotation marks) in the box alongside the Google title, it should show you a map with a green arrow right on top of the monumet - although all you can see at max size is a circular feature. Pob lwc!

Disappointed that I had to make an appointment. I used to be able to go to BC House and look at my local newspaper. This was a place to connect whith what was going on at home and meet up with others from BC. I am in London every two years and now feel disconnected with my home town.

This block of apartments was built in the 1980s, replacing a garden centre, a green oasis in this area.
  • 19-21 Craven Hill Gardens, Cyril (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
These two houses were the site of the London Toy and Model Museum 1982 to 1999, in 1982 I lived in the adjacent square and witnessed these two houses being converted into the museum, in 1999 I and daughter Hannah visited just before its planned closure.
  • Spire House, Cyril (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
This site is now a block of apartments. During the 1980s the Anglican church was demolished to build a block of apartments, the steeple of the church was kept as its entrance hall. The exterior columns of the block of apartments simulate the flying buttresses of the former church.
