One lap of this park is around 600-800m. Slight hill. Open area not protected from the elements by trees. Lots of dogwalkers. Not a pretty park.

The coordinates are incorrect. Should be... 51|29|16.6086|N|0|7|25.4064|W The problem is not the rounding; the problems are the minus sign and E.

I have a photo taken through a spyglass to a plexibox inscribed with "I AM HERE" or somesuch. The gallery was grand, castle rotund like. And I think it was 1967. I must remind myself to send it to Yoko. I was there all night singing when we lost her beloved. Stop All Wars John@JohnDickinson.info http://JohnDickinson.info

  • Larkswood Open Air Pool - Chingford (site of), Dominic Moss wrote 11 years ago:
My Grandfather, Edgar Sydney Moss ran the building company ES Moss that built Chingford Lido. The company was founded in 1932 so he was doing well to take on such a large prestige project so soon after setting up in business. He subsequently built a house for himself in Dennis Lane Stanmore called Larkswood, it had an integral Air Raid Shelter as it was quite close to RAF Fighter Command at Bentley Priory, Bushey Heath. As a child I can remember the framed photograph of the Lido that was on display in his office.
