    Wednesday March 7, 2007, The Guardian: "Chemical alert halts cable-laying at 2012 site Work on laying power cables under the Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, has been suspended for the past month after traces of chemicals were discovered. The Olympic Delivery Authority said the delay would not affect the construction schedule for the park. Work was halted after traces of naphthalene and benzene were found in one of four tunnels, but will resume later this week. Eleven workers were taken to hospital for precautionary tests after similar chemicals were found in a different tunnel two months ago. The ODA said it was a "routine health and safety issue".
